Did you know? Canada has a real community of Teachers 5 étoiles who shine in their schools, their provinces and across the country. Where are they? They’re not hard to find! They work in the 2,400 schools across the country offering French Immersion programs in every province and two territories.
According to a reliable source, these Teachers 5 étoiles often stand out in school staff rooms. Why? Well, it seems they’re the ones who regularly enjoy a laugh over lunch, sharing best practices between bites, encouraging and helping each other with a smile, and marvelling at the way their students are adding French words to their vocabulary at lightning speed. They are also known to be the first to volunteer to organize the school’s social activities.
One thing’s for sure: the life of a Teacher 5 étoiles is never dull! Do you know one? Tell us their story at info@teacher5etoiles.ca.
Did you know? Preparing the Teacher 5 étoiles campaign involved speaking to a whole bunch of teachers who had a lot to say about their professional AND personal lives. We were really struck by the incredibly rich and active lives of each Teacher 5 étoiles!
Over and above their rewarding jobs, they often also have other passions that they fully and wholeheartedly embrace. Take Audrey, a teacher in Ottawa, who decided to go teach French in Mexico for the summer. Or Michelle, a Saskatoon teacher who collects teas and does aerial silk acrobatics whenever she can.
The story of Paula, a St. John’s teacher who combines her university course load with her teaching, is also inspiring. And then there’s Daya who, in addition to teaching in Regina, is also an ethnomusicologist who occasionally works for a Washington-based record label!
Pretty impressive, right? Teachers 5 étoiles don’t get those five stars for nothing! Do you know one? Tell us their story at info@teacher5etoiles.ca.
